Job Description

Social Chain is looking for a Junior Art Director passionate about social media and the overall digital landscape. You are detail-oriented, strive to continuously elevate your work and the work of those around you, and have a deep love of team building. You are versatile and adaptive and love to dive headfirst into creative problems. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the Art Director will be a creative lead on the creative team driving engagement, reach, and community across various social handles. The Art Director will work collaboratively to execute and elevate the creative vision for our clients, developing best-in-class social assets while providing clear vision and directive to the wider creative team on how to execute content across all platforms. You go above and beyond briefs to push what's possible on both a creative and technical level and you have a strong passion for helping others to do the same.

What You Will Be Working On:

  • Conceptualize both big and small ideas and present them to stakeholders
  • Conceptualize and create all things digital and social—e.g., social media ads, social media content, templates, style guides, mobile mocks, and more. 
  • Design and develop creative assets, delegating, and overseeing work by freelancers or fellow designers.
  • Able to carry out a concept from start to completion independently and with a partner.
  • Contract with additional resources such as illustrators, designers, photographers, and other creatives. 
  • Work on projects in a small team of creatives but also an extended team of Designers, Social Media Manages, Copywriters, Creative directors, and strategist. 
  • Help facilitate an open creative environment, where feedback is given, taken, validated, and implemented.

Candidate Requirements

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Passionate about social media and creating content that resonates with audiences across digital platforms and through a number of verticals. With expertise and knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, Youtube, and Pinterest)
  • Experience with designing all things digital and social across formats and platforms
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Proficiency in video and editing suites like After Effects & Premiere is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (email, docs, drive, slides)
  • Immersed in pop cultural trends, art, and design trends. This includes having an eye for emerging trends, innovation, and upcoming digital platforms.
  • Able to adapt brand guidelines into social visual identities. As well as adapt to a diversity of brands and their styles, whilst bringing a personal touch. 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, always-changing environment.
  • Display a strong aesthetic sense and excellent, and thorough attention to detail.
