Job Description

Social Chain is looking for a Data Analyst to join its publishing and e-commerce division based out of the Manchester HQ. Reporting to the Head Of Performance Strategy, you will be joining a fast growing team that operates across multiple verticals with a variety of performance and brand-led goals. 

 

As the Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for managing, interpreting and presenting data across the publishing and e-commerce divisions of the organisation, using a variety of tools that we have at our disposal. 

 

Our social communities have a wide following and some key areas we focus on are Gaming, Sport and Young Professional Lifestyle. Each of these key areas also have an e-commerce store, so understanding the data flow from one group to the other is key.

 
Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the publishing and e-commerce divisions to extract data driven insights and findings to propose recommendations in line with performance marketing and brand goals
  • Pull and analyse data from key social platforms, and internal data management tools to offer informative and clear insights based on the findings
  • Support new business and PR efforts to back up pitches 
  • Set measurement objectives and forecast KPIs in line with the performance marketing and brand teams

Candidate Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in a role involving data & analytics, social media analytics, or market research
  • Experience using native analytics and social listening platforms to present informative and relevant findings, such as: Permutive, Google Analytics, Social Bakers, Brandwatch, Tubular, Crowd Tangle.
  • Ability to digest data to make informed recommendations and analysis to address challenges and opportunities
  • Proactive problem solver with a passion for helping uncover new opportunities and solutions for the business

 

Desired Skills

  • Experience using a data management platform, such as Permutive, to segment and analyse site audience data
  • Experience analysing e-commerce data trends using google analytics and shopify
  • Experience presenting data insights and recommendations to key internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Experience from brand and agency backgrounds will be considered
