Job Description


As Operations Director your role will be to lead, develop and integrate digital and social processes, practices and tools into Social Chain. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will have full overview on virtually every part of the business to ensure the smooth running, financial performance and reporting.

Your success will come from being a team player, inspiring others to generate ideas, co-leading the creative process internally and externally to deliver projects successfully.

Whilst doing this you will be proactive in managing the profitability of large-scale projects, maximising revenue and decreasing costs where appropriate. 

Key responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for growth and pressure points and implement change accordingly.
  • Work with the agency to fully integrate the consideration of innovations and new technology into the Social Chain portfolio. 
  • Work with the Marketing team to help drive the most effective event and outreach approaches. 
  • Build growth and retention strategy that allows us to offer more repeat business rather than one off campaigns.
  • Review proposals to ensure they meet brief in the best, most successful manner. 
  • Lead on pricing, resourcing and deliverables for our services alongside the Leadership team.
  • Develop & Manage key relationships amongst clients, suppliers and other businesses. 
  • Work with accounts team to cross sell/up sell within current accounts.
  • Actively seek new partnership with clients and agency partners. 

Candidate Requirements

Person specification

  • Experience of leadership within a senior team.
  • Commercial acumen and a proven track record of commercial success.
  • A strong and demonstrable knowledge of the digital landscape, in particular social media.
  • Outstanding presentation and pitching skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
