Job Description

You’ll be joining Media Chain’s Gaming team as the Social Media Executive for one of the largest social-first gaming communities in the world. We’re looking for a proactive and energetic individual who can source, create, an publish amazing content for our audience.


The Social Media Executive will be empowered to drive the brand, strategy, and content output, working autonomously within our existing team. Media Chain’s Gaming team flips traditional hierarchy on its head – we’re a high-performing, high-autonomy, high-accountability team where you’ll be able to choose your own priorities, projects, and work.


The Challenges You’ll Tackle

  • Lead one of the biggest social-first gaming brands in the world to engage its community.
  • Source, curate, and edit content from around the web which our audience will love.
  • Produce original content to build brand equity and showcase our creativity.
  • Analyse content and page performance, using data and insights to iterate and improve.
  • Monetise our brand by optimising our content, ensuring we have strong SEO and algorithm-beating retention.
  • Adapt to the ever-changing landscape by exploring new mediums, content types, and optimisations.

Candidate Requirements

The Skills You’ll Need

  • Professional experience working in a Social Media/Community Management role.
  • A love of gaming, internet-culture, and social media.
  • Video production/editing skills, particularly with the Adobe suite.
  • Understanding of how to build and grow a community.


Bonus Points if you have…

  • Experience in live-streaming.
  • Experience working at a social-first publisher/brand.
  • Knowledge of YouTube SEO.
  • Run your own community/meme page.
