Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Business Solutions Team based at the Head Office in Cheltenham. The key purpose of the role is to implement, support, maintain and develop Commercial’s Reporting and Data warehouse. Applicants are required to have proven experience of SQL development and Reports development

We want you to…
  • Develop Business Critical Reports
  • Maintain and Support existing Business Critical Reports
  • Manage data manipulation using SQL
  • Provide advanced Data Warehouse support and development.
  • Manage priorities and time effectively across multiple Projects/Change Requests
  • Ensure that all requests from users are logged, updated and closed in line with operational level agreements.
  • Liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Tackle problems confidently and presenting reporting and data solutions

Candidate Requirements

You have got…

  • Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) including Report Builder
  • Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016
  • Strong T-SQL Skills - Creating stored procedures/functions for reporting and for transforming data
  • Experience of designing and creating views/tables
  • Relational Database Design and query performance optimization.
  • Strong Excel skills (Macros, Formulas and ODBC Data links)
  • Requirements gathering, producing scope and design documents
  • Excellent debugging and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve technical problems with simple solutions
  • Excellent communication skills

The following skills would be an advantage, although not essential:

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • SQL Server Analytical Services (SSAS)
  • Power BI
  • Crystal Reports
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • No SQL Databases
