Job Description

The Head of Sport Partnerships is a senior position within Social Chain. We’re looking for a strong and experienced leader to help shape one of the biggest social media brands in sport and drive forward our wider publishing division of Social Chain.  

You will lead on the commercial team and in particular SPORF, by seeking to build out and productise formats on social media that can be packaged and sold to applicable media agencies and direct clients. 

You will help to inform the editorial approach for the SPORF team through a continuous feedback loop and drive digital growth with your publishing expertise and knowledge in sport. Success in this position will require a blend of strong consultative sales approach, leadership skills, and proven commercial and operational acumen.  

Candidate Requirements

  • Sell - your main responsibilities will be revenue generation and development of new products that can be packaged and sold 
  • Create persuasive presentations using market trends, case studies and input from the Sporf team. 
  • Lead on new business projects and pitches.  A clear focus on large network agencies and sport specific media agencies and brands.
  • Work alongside the Commercial Director to help inform the longer term commercial strategy for the publishing division.
  • Set the team up for success - follow the new business and on-boarding process for any new projects that you are responsible for
  • Identify and prioritise business opportunities, build pitches and close relationships with clients
  • Maintain knowledge of digital marketing, technology and Social Chain solutions
  • Responsible for accurate forecasting
  • Represent Social Chain at relevant events
